Daigo-ji is one of oldest and most scenic religious sites in Japan. This hillside Zen Buddhist temple near Kyoto is a prime spot for viewing cherry blossoms and autumn foliage. The main temple buildings are located at the foot of a mountain and are connected to other temple buildings via a hiking trail around the summit. Daigo-ji has been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
